Part A
In my opinion, Sydney is the most beautiful city in Australia. However, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra are also charming cities. Sydney is a vibrant city with a very colorful population. The following is a description of this special city, its beaches and its main attractions, accompanied by pictures, and also a list of recommended hotels located in the city centre.
The Uluru (Ayers Rock) is in the middle of Australia far from the populated areas. It can be reached by car or by plane.
Here is an article about a Round trip visit to Uluru and Olgas from Alice Springs including a visit in Kings Canyon and Alice Springs.
The view of the Uluru in the flat desert is very impressive, especially at sunset when the Uluru changes its colors into reddish as the sun goes down, and after sunset it turns into-red black.
The Olgas mountains near the Uluru are not less beatiful
so a trip to this area is unforgettable.
Melbourne is a nice large city with many interesting
sites in both the city and its surroundings.
You will
find a list of recommended hotels in a central location
in Melbourne later in the article.
Cairns is an excellent exit point for tours to the Great
Barrier Reef.
The city of Cairns is located on the
north east coast of Australia, in the north of the state
of Queensland. Cairns is a vibrant tourists' city, with
an abundance of attractions and very popular with
tourists.
The great Barrier Reef is located along the
northeastern shores of Australia and it is a huge
collection of reefs and islands with a total length of
2300 km! The reef covers an area of about 350,000 square
km; this is a larger area than the area of Greta
Britain. In this reef are 350 types of corals and some
1500 types of fish.
Part B
If
it rains, prepare in advance a list of covered sites you
wish to visit. Everyone can choose for himself museums
or other covered attractions he likes. The following are
several covered places to visit in Sydney.
- Paddy's
Market is a place you can stroll in for several hours.
- Another place is Sydney's Power Station Museum. This
museum houses several science and technology exhibits,
locomotives, spaceships, airplanes and interactive
exhibits.
- The Aquarium is another excellent covered
attraction located at Darling Harbour...
A visit to
Melbourne is incomplete without a trip to the nearby Philip
Island.
The trip from Melbourne takes about one hour and 45 minutes
(140 km) and a whole day must be devoted to it.
There
are many unique possibilities on the Island to observe
the special animals in this habitat. The best is to
start with a cruise to observe the huge seals colony.
The Kuranda village is located in mountains
covered with tropical rain forests, at a distance of
about 35 minutes away from the city of Cairns.
It is
possible to reach the village from Cairns by three routes, all
pretty and unique. The first, travel on curved roads
inside the rain forests. The second, by an old
historical train that goes thru the forests and near the
spectacular Barron Falls arriving at Kuranda's
picturesque train station located inside a forest.
The
third route is by the long
Skyrail (7.5 km) above and
between the treetops of the rain forest.
