Travel Guide
The Galapagos Islands are the highlight of any trip to Ecuador. They are located about 1,000 km west of the mainland in the heart of the Pacific Ocean near the equator. In the Galapagos archipelago there are 18 main islands, 3 small islands, and about 100 islets and rocks.
This is a paradise for animal lovers where you can meet up close, in their natural habitat, a wealth of animals—some endemic to the Galapagos. The wildlife in the area is not afraid of humans at all and does not run away from them. The main danger for travelers is accidentally stepping on an iguana's tail...
Ecuador has a lot to offer travelers and is also much cheaper than other countries. In addition, traveling in Ecuador is not just about the Galapagos! Ecuador offers travelers impressive nature with towering volcanoes, picturesque lakes, sea, rivers with caimans, Amazon jungles, as well as adventure activities such as ropes parks, river rafting, giant swings, paragliding, and good hotels at affordable prices. Hot springs and friendly, welcoming locals.

Rio de Janeiro in Brazil is the most impressive city in Brazil, considered the most popular tourist destination in the southern hemisphere. It is a city of contrasts: luxury skyscrapers alongside "favelas" (shantytowns), beaches at the foot of mountains and cliffs, and an enormous forest in the heart of the city teeming with tropical vegetation and wildlife alongside dense urban development. The city's residents rightfully call it "The Marvelous City" (Cidade Maravilhosa).

Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, is situated on the northern bank of a massive river called "Río de la Plata". You can also reach it via a cruise ship to South America. The port is located right in the heart of the Old City, close to the city's main attractions. As soon as you step off the ship, you arrive at the popular food market Mercado del Puerto, renowned for its "Parrilla" grill restaurants and surrounded entirely by shops and souvenir stalls.
Cartagena, the fifth largest city in Colombia, is the country's largest port city. The first Europeans to arrive were the Spanish, and their first settlement in the area was established in 1525. The city features ancient fortresses impressive in size and an enchanting walled Old Town that contrasts with the high-rises in the modern areas of the city. The Old Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984. It is clean, well-maintained, and a delight to explore on foot among the beautifully preserved colonial houses, bustling plazas surrounded by colonial architecture, numerous churches, and many statues.
