Trip Itinerary from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone and Grand Teton

♦ Routes (free): Detailed travel itineraries in USA

The heart of the itinerary is a visit to Yellowstone National Park, which is one of the most impressive and unique parks in the USA. It has more geysers and hot springs than the rest of the world combined! This is in addition to wildlife, a large lake, and a waterfall. It is a huge park, covering an area about 40% the size of Israel. On the way to it is Grand Teton National Park, which features a combination of high mountains and a green valley with a river and eight lakes, and the action-packed town of Jackson with its Wild West atmosphere.

Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City is the capital of Utah and its economic and cultural center. It is an excellent starting point for a trip to Yellowstone National Park. The city serves as the spiritual center of the Mormon faith, which is its main uniqueness. Most of the tourist attractions in the city are related to the Mormons. The city's main center of attraction is Temple Square.

Grand Teton National Park (Jackson)

Grand Teton National Park is located in the northwestern part of the state of Wyoming. The Teton Range is located on the western side of the park; the eastern side of the park is the valley of Jackson Hole. The special thing about the park is the combination of high mountains and the green valley with eight large lakes and dozens of other small lakes. The park has glaciers, snowfields, and many forests. The variety of vegetation is enormous. The leisure and travel options in the park are numerous, including hiking trails, lake cruises, kayaking, river rafting, mountain peak trips, a scenic cable car, and more.

Jackson is a wonderful town for active and adventurous outdoor recreation activities and also for a "Wild West" and cowboy experience.

Yellowstone National Park (Near the town of West Yellowstone)

Yellowstone is the largest and most famous of all the national parks. Its size is about 40% of the area of the State of Israel, and in order to see the particularly interesting and impressive areas in it, you should dedicate at least three days to the visit. The park is located in an area that had a lot of volcanic activity, and today many thermal phenomena are seen in its territory, including many geysers, hot springs, bubbling mud pools, and all in unique colors. About half of the geothermal sites on Earth are in Yellowstone! The park has a colorful canyon called: "Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River", fossil forests, and a large lake.
