Park Allgäu
Park Allgäu, the holiday village opened in 2018 and is ideally located: in a mountainous region in the Bavaria region of southern Germany. The area is mainly famous for its picturesque castles, including of course the fairytale-like Neuschwanstein Castle, but also for the abundance of nature sites and active recreation spread throughout it.
The flight to the southern Germany region is convenient: you can fly on a direct low-cost flight from Israel to Memmingen, and from there it is a short 25-minute drive to the holiday village. Alternatively, you can fly to Zurich or Munich, about a two-hour drive from the holiday village.
The holiday village offers a unique experience for the whole family: a huge indoor water park, active recreation facilities, games, activities for all ages, equipped and spacious cottages, a variety of restaurants and shops, and even a luxury spa (for an extra fee of course) with top treatments, facilities, and a gym.
In addition, around the park you will find wonderful family attractions like the Legoland park, Lake Constance, and a variety of recommended nature trails. But with all the fun attractions outside the park, don't forget to also dedicate a substantial amount of time to spending time in the park itself and enjoying the many facilities.

Activities for children of all ages
The park is suitable for visits throughout the year, as it features both indoor and outdoor attractions. Thus, even on a rainy day, children will not be bored for a moment.
Among the abundance of attractions, your younger children will thoroughly love the "Baluba" play area: a huge paradise featuring ball pools, slides, climbing structures, soft play equipment, a car track, trampolines, and more. Prepare to spend long hours here, because the children will completely find it hard to leave the place.
In addition, in the indoor area you will find climbing walls, mini golf, bowling, an advanced electronic games room, bumper cars, and a bean bag lounge for those looking for a minute of calm. Every day there are also activities in the kids' clubs such as puppet theater, a magic show, story time, face painting workshops, and more.
Among the outdoor attractions, older children can slide on a unique facility for the daring called the "Zipline Roller Coaster", which is a combination of a roller coaster and a zipline where you fly in twists at a high height among the treetops, in addition to two regular high-altitude zipline tracks, climb the ropes course, and enjoy another mini-golf course,
Archery, laser tag shooting facility, sports fields, and more.
The younger children in the group can play in the many playgrounds scattered throughout the park, drive a safari jeep on a special track designed for ages 5 and up, or meet and feed lovely farm animals at the farm including rabbits, donkeys, goats, chickens, and more.
Another fun experience is spending time at the lake with rental boats (for an additional fee) – quality time for the whole family!
Even a "Honey House" where you can taste various types of local honey (and also buy of course), make candles from honeycomb, and listen to local music while listening to the explanations is located in the center of the holiday village.
Aqua Mundo Water World
Without a doubt, the highlight of the holiday village is the huge water park where you will surely want to spend long hours. Children, young and old, and of course the parents will find hours of laughter and enjoyment among the various water facilities. Water temperature is constant, 29-31 degrees.
In the huge park you will find a particularly long wild water river – 165 meters of currents and whirlpools, but also a quiet river suitable for younger children. 5 cool large water slides, including wide tube slides that the whole family can slide down together. A pool and water play area for the toddlers in the group, who are also provided with adapted water slides. A wave pool, jacuzzis, a snorkeling pool among colorful fish where you can also learn diving (for an extra fee), and a large outdoor pool.

And the cherry on top? Admission to the water park is free for guests of the holiday village! The place also has orderly and comfortable changing rooms and showers, as well as stations for borrowing floaties and life vests for children.
For convenient and fun movement around the park and between attractions, it is possible and recommended to rent bicycles of all types and sizes including family bikes, golf carts, and more (for an extra fee). This is also a fun and special experience for children!
Cottages in the Holiday Village - Attention to Small Details
In the holiday village, there are cottages in four levels, suitable for 2-12 guests. The apartments are modern and spacious. All apartments have an equipped kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, plates, cups, cutlery, induction cooktop, pots, pans, and more), and a balcony with garden furniture, but the apartments differ from one another in the level of facilities and equipment. The apartments also have a baby cot, a baby high chair, and a playpen.
VIP Wellness Cottage rooms are suitable for those looking to pamper themselves and include an outdoor jacuzzi, spa bath, and hammam.
Shopping and Dining Complex
The central area of the holiday village is the Market Dome. In this area you will find the Reception where you can check in upon arrival, but of course you can also get additional information about the stay in the village, additional facilities, and accommodation. In addition, there is also a Tourist information office where you can learn about the abundance of attractions adjacent to the holiday village that are suitable for a day trip.
Aside from these offices, the central complex also houses the water park and the Baluba play area. But another reason to come here is the dining and shopping complex. The complex features restaurants in various styles, all of which naturally also offer children's menus. There is also a supermarket where you can stock up on groceries and prepare meals in your cottage.
At the bakery, you can purchase fresh pastries daily, or even order a delivery to arrive at your apartment door every morning.
The complex has several shops including plenty of pool equipment, games, clothes, and more. Among the shops and restaurants there is plenty of vegetation and also goldfish ponds with small bridges.
Twice a week in the morning hours, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, a colorful local market is held near the central indoor complex where you can taste and buy cheeses, pastries, jams, sausages, and an abundance of vegetables and fruit, all local produce from the neighboring villages.
Of course, in the town adjacent to the holiday village, Leutkirch im Allgäu, which is located just a 7-minute drive from Center Parcs, there is a large variety of supermarkets, including particularly cheap (yet extremely high quality) ones like LIDL as well as a variety of excellent and family-friendly restaurants.

Attractions and Trips from the Holiday Village
At the holiday village you can of course spend entire days, but it is worth traveling in the surroundings and enjoying the abundance of hiking trails and attractions the place has to offer.
Legoland
For families with young children, it is worth spending a day at the Lego park Legoland, which features plenty of facilities and activities for children starting from age one, about an hour's drive from the holiday village. Ideal for children up to age 10.

Ravensburger Spieleland Park
Another amusement park, particularly suitable for toddlers, which is even closer to the holiday village (40 minutes' drive), is Ravensburger Spieleland Park.
For older, more daring children and teenagers, there is an amusement park about a 45-minute drive away: Allgäu Skyline Park, featuring 60 rides suitable for the most daring but also some suitable for young and less brave children. Various shows are also held in the park.
Mountain Coaster and Ropes Park
Within a 40-minute drive is also located the longest mountain coaster (toboggan) in Germany: Alpsee Bergwelt, and if you haven't had enough of the holiday village's ropes park, you will find a successful ropes park nearby called: AlpseeSkytrail.
Cable Cars and Mountain Attractions
Within a 30-60 minute drive from the holiday village there are dozens of cable cars, some in Germany and some already in Austria. Beyond walking trails and magical views from the peaks, almost every top cable car station also has some surprise for children: an alpine slide, wooden playgrounds, barefoot walking trails, petting zoos, and more.

Skywalk Allgäu Treetop Walkway
Another special attraction for families with children of all ages: the Skywalk Allgäu Treetop Walkway. A walking trail above the treetops across 4 levels of unique bridges. The visit is suitable for all ages, the trails are accessible, and it's convenient to travel even with a baby stroller. There is an elevator that will take you between the levels. At the entrance to the complex there is also a nice playground, water play, a barefoot walking trail, and a petting zoo. The park is a 45-minute drive from the holiday village.
Nature reserve Eistobel
Nature hiking enthusiasts don't need to travel far. Just 20 minutes from Center Parcs is a wonderful nature reserve called: Nature reserve Eistobel with walking trails along a rushing river, among waterfalls, bridges, and towns.

Highline 179 Giant Suspension Bridge
A dramatic site that must not be missed is Highline 179, located in Austria (near the border with Germany) near the town of Reutte, about an hour's drive from Center Parcs. This is a pedestrian suspension bridge 114 meters high and 406 meters long (the longest of its kind in the world!) connecting ancient castle ruins with a breathtaking view of snow-capped mountains, towns, and castles. You can also tour the castles and the museum belonging to the site. The bridge can be reached either by a winding hiking trail up a hill or by a modern inclined elevator opened only in April 2019, which during the ride exposes you for the first time to the dramatic views and the impressive sight of the bridge.

Castles
A short drive from the bridge (20 minutes from the suspension bridge, about an hour's drive from Center Parcs) are located two of Mad Ludwig's famous castles:
Linderhof Castle with its lovely gardens and Neuschwanstein Castle from which Disney got the inspiration for Cinderella's castle.
Breitachklamm Gorge
Another successful site for nature lovers is the Breitachklamm Gorge (about an hour's drive south of the holiday village) where you walk along a trail on elevated wooden platforms along a river among steep cliffs. The length of the trail is about 3.6 km. Walking time is about an hour and a quarter.
Nice Museums
On the way to the gorge (or back) it is highly recommended to stop at a model museum called: Mini Mobil Modellmuseum which features miniature models of airplanes, trains, ships, cars, and other means of transportation.
Other successful museums near the holiday village (particularly suitable for rainy days):
A cute open-air museum called: Allgäu Bergbauernmuseum with ancient houses, farm animals, and demonstrations for children, and a model train museum: Mini World Oberstaufen.
Lake Constance, Monkey Park, Flower Island
For those looking for a day trip that includes both nature and urban scenery, it is worth visiting Lake Constance, which borders three countries: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The lake is about an hour's drive from the holiday village and an entire day can be spent around it. Ranging from strolling through the charming town of Lindau, spending time at the Affenberg Salem monkey park, and of course, visiting the colorful flower island of Mainau.

Grosser Alpsee Lake
Another lake that makes for a wonderful day trip is Grosser Alpsee Lake, around which there are plenty of attractions suitable for visitors of all ages: a playground, trampoline, climbing wall, mini-golf, ropes park, paddle boats, and more.
Christlessee Crystal Lake
For families who love nature and hiking trails, it is recommended to visit Christlessee Crystal Lake. A walk of about 45 minutes, including a quarter of an hour of steep ascent, ending with a gorgeous lake with mesmerizing colored water.
Zugspitze Mountain
Also Zugspitze Mountain, the most famous and highest in Germany, is suitable for a day trip from the holiday village. The mountain is part of the Alps mountain range between Germany and Austria. You can ascend to the peak of the mountain by cable car or by train, which climbs at a sharp angle to a certain point from which you must continue by cable car. For those arriving at the mountain area, it is also recommended to visit the nearby Eibsee Lake. You can circle the lake on a trail passing alongside small lakes and waterfalls.
Summary
Families with children will surely define the holiday village as paradise. The children will find it hard to leave the abundance of facilities and of course the fun water park, and the experiences will stay with them for a long time. This is a different kind of experience, a different vacation concept that is also very convenient with babies: staying at the holiday village for a week and taking star trips from it. There is no need to change accommodations every night, very convenient in terms of organization and logistics, you can cook in the apartment and thus save on expensive meals in restaurants. For those coming to the holiday village for a week, I recommend spending at least(!) two days in the village itself. For those coming for a shorter period of 3 nights, it is recommended to spend the whole vacation here and not travel around the area.
The ideal location of Park Allgäu also plays a winning role – close to an abundance of attractions and the charming nature of southern Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Definitely – an experience and fun for the whole family!
