All inclusive hotels in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic
I searched on TripAdvisor where there are the best
all-inclusive hotels, and to my surprise I have
discovered that among the top ten all-inclusive hotels
in the Caribbean, seven of them are located in Punta
Cana in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean.
So, as a known island enthusiast and equally food
enthusiast, I flew to check it out!

General
The
Dominican Republic is located in the eastern part of a
large island in the Caribbean, called Hispaniola, which
is shared with its poor neighbour of Haiti. The island
is mostly mountainous with mountains of about up to
3,000 meters high covered with forests.
In the
Dominican Republic the spoken language is Spanish but at
the tourist sites and the hotels you can manage nicely
in English, also the guided tours are English speakers
and some of them are originally from English speaking
countries (many are from Canada).
Arrival:
You can get to Punta Cana by a direct flight from Europe or from many destinations from Canada and the United States. For example, a flight from Miami takes 2.5 hours to Punta Cana.
All-Inclusive Hotels
Most of the
more modern all-inclusive hotels are located on the
eastern edge of the country in a place called Punta Cana
and the older ones are located in the north of the
country in the area of Puerto Plata.
To my delight I
have discovered that the recommendations by TripAdvisor
were correct: the hotels are amazing, spread over vast
areas, full of gardens, vegetation and facilities. In
most hotels the concept is ultra-inclusive: a large
selection of restaurants, including gourmet restaurants
in a variety of styles which can be eaten in with at no
extra charge.

Also the drinks: soft or alcoholic are free in all restaurants and bars. The room service is free with a rich and varied menu of food and drinks and also the full mini bar is free!
Some of the restaurants are located on the
beaches, a wonderful opportunity to watch the sunrise.
You will find in most of the large hotels Asian,
French, Italian, Mediterranean, American, Mexican
restaurants and even Japanese Steak houses where the
chef performs stunts while he prepares the food with
stunts in front of you.

All hotels
also have clubs, most of them have concert halls and a
casino. Some of the hotels are intended for adults only
and some are for families with facilities for children,
game rooms and a variety of activities and performances
for the entire family. Anyone can find a hotel to their
liking.
The hotels are spread over a large area with
the swimming pools and close by sandy beaches filled
with water activities and loungers, sun umbrellas and
private cabanas. Some of them have boat rentals of
different kind and a free marine equipment rental for
the hotel guests. Many of the rooms on the ground floor
have a private exit to the pools.

Some of the hotels have premium rooms, more exclusive and the guests of these rooms have access to lounges, restaurants and beaches special to them only.
The service provided to all the guests is extraordinary!
The local residents, especially those who work in
tourism are pleasant, welcoming, professionals and very
active.
Most of the hotel guests come from the
United States and Canada (the locals call the place
“Punta Canada” because of the huge number of Canadians
that come to the area especially during the winter time)
and some from Europe. There are clear advantages here: a
summery weather also in the winter, there are no
security alerts, the locals are friendly, the hotels are
modern and luxurious with an excellent service and
interesting activities and tours as I will detail later.
Surprisingly the price is quite affordable – you
will receive a full value for your money and much more
Recommended Hotels in Punta Cana
Punta Cana has hotels of all types and levels. Since the “all-inclusive” hotels in the area are amazing and are one of the main attractions and reasons to choose this destination, I highly recommend choosing one of the all-inclusive 5-stars resorts.

The Bavaro Beach:
A central beach with the highest concentration of hotels and the most diverse resorts and attractions. Bavaro Beach is especially suitable to those looking to be at the heart of the action and activities. Recommended hotels in Bavaro:
Now Larimar Hotel
A 5-star hotel, ultra-all-inclusive. Located close to the beach in Bavaro Beach, 14 kilometers from the airport of Punta Cana. The hotel includes five swimming pools, seven restaurants, and a casino. All the rooms have a furnished private patio or a balcony.

Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and free parking. Sandy beach with umbrellas, loungers and cabanas. Abundant of shows and activities including a large playroom for children.

The Uvero Alto Area:
Located about 20 kilometers north of Bavaro Beach. A quieter and more exclusive area, with construction and development boom, most of the hotels there are new and were built in recent years.

A 5-star hotel for adults only. Ultra-all-inclusive. Located close to the beach and a 50 minutes drive away from the Punta Cana airport.

An all-inclusive 5-star hotel for adults only. A high quality and very impressive hotel located in a castle on the shores of a wonderful beach. Eden Roc At Cap Cana Hotel
A prestigious and high-quality boutique hotel, which includes suites of different sizes in a French, Italian and Spanish style. Each suite has a private pool.
Each suite is surrounded by tropical gardens. It stretches across a huge area between the beach and the golf courses. Each suite receives a golf cart for private usage. The hotel has a swimming pool and spa, two gourmet restaurants, free internet and free shuttles to the airport. The hotel organizes for its guests, different activities, such as horseback riding and sailing in a catamaran. This hotel is not an all-inclusive hotel!
