Trip to the Town of Poreč in Croatia
Poreč is a popular resort town in the western Istrian Peninsula, north of Rovinj. It features an abundance of hotels and resorts located along fantastic beaches—without sand and without pebbles. You step into them just like into a swimming pool. The water is always calm.

In addition, it has a charming small old town with narrow, winding paved alleys,
a marina, and a variety of shops and restaurants. It is reminiscent of Rovinj, only smaller and generally less crowded. At the entrance to the old town, adjacent to the large parking lot (which, like Rovinj, is pedestrian-only and cannot be entered by car), there is a great market for food, fruits, vegetables, and souvenirs.

In the heart of the old town stands the Euphrasian Basilica, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 6th century AD on the foundations of an earlier 4th-century basilica, it boasts well-preserved mosaics and statues from that period.
Another well-preserved major site in the old town is the Roman Forum, located near the seashore down the street leading from the basilica. The town's main square is called Marafor Square (Trg Marafor), and it is surrounded by colorful houses and lined with cafes and restaurants.
Poreč also has a fishing port and a marina filled with tourist boats, seafood restaurants, cafes, and shops.

Dinopark Funtana – A wonderful theme park, ideal for families with young children, combining giant dinosaur figures—many of which move and make sounds—with amusement rides and live shows. It is located about 8 km (less than a 15-minute drive) south of Poreč.
Aquapark Aquacolors – The largest water park in Croatia with roughly 20 attractions, including a wide range of water slides, lazy rivers, and swimming pools suitable for all ages and thrill levels. A modern, exciting park located around 4 km (less than a 10-minute drive) south of Poreč's old town.

Adventure Park Sky Fox – A ropes and zipline course offering several trails of varying difficulty levels, located about 8 km (around a 15-minute drive) north of Poreč.
Jama - Grotta Baredine – A stalactite cave situated roughly 10 km (about a 15-minute drive) northeast of Poreč. It offers a 45-minute guided tour descending about 60 meters below ground. In addition to thousands of stalactites and stalagmites, the cave features an underground lake inhabited by an endemic pigment-less salamander (the olm), as well as an impressive subterranean stream. The cave temperature remains steady and cool at approximately 14°C. Beside the cave entrance, there is an exhibition of historic farming tools and local wine tastings.
