Description of the Location:
Geiranger is a tourist town situated on one of the most stunning and famous fjords in Norway. Its small center is located right by the water's edge, from which the well-known ferries depart toward Hellesylt, cruising through the narrow section of the fjord past majestic waterfalls (Bridal Veil Waterfall, the Seven Sisters, and more), isolated farmsteads, and quintessential enchanted scenery. Most of the town's houses, hotels, and camping sites are perched up the mountainside along the steep and winding Route 63. Near the top of the road (about 2.5 km from the town center) lie the 15 cabins of HOLE: eight of them are wooden vacation homes with a high standard of furnishings and finish, and seven more are modest camping cabins. The view from each of the cabins is breathtaking: the entire town and the fjord stretch out to the horizon. One moment you can discern the finest details of ships in the harbor and cascading waterfalls; within mere minutes, fog will blanket the harbor, and you will see the clouds hovering beneath your feet—and soon after, your own cabin will be enveloped in a misty cloud. These weather shifts happen with incredible speed and make for a truly memorable experience. Have your cameras ready!

Adjacent to the cabins are well-marked hiking trails (a detailed trail map can be picked up at reception). A walk of just a few minutes leads you to rushing waterfalls. The vegetation is lush, and everything is, of course, vibrant green.
This is an excellent starting point for fishing and boating, and above all for excursions around the fjord region and to Norway's most famous and popular tourist sites: Trollstigen (Trolls' Road), Ørnevegen (Eagle Road), Briksdal Glacier, and the summer ski resort of Stryn. The Dalsnibba viewpoint, offering one of the most scenic panoramic vistas in Scandinavia, is located just a very short drive away.

On-site there is a cabin that serves as a reception desk, open during the summer season between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, where you can obtain information and maps of tourist attractions in the region. There is also a small kiosk on the premises where you can purchase hot and cold drinks, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream.
Fresh bread and warm rolls can be ordered every morning.

Description of the Cabins:
Six of the cabins cover an area of 30 sq. meters and feature an orderly, fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom and shower, a living room (which includes sleeping space for one person), a dining area, a bedroom with two single beds, and a loft with a double mattress (one of these cabins features an additional separate room instead of the loft). Two larger cabins cover an area of 45 sq. meters and include an extra bedroom with a double bed. Each cabin features a small yard with a wooden table, chairs, and most importantly: the view... While the cabins are not expansive, they are modern, comfortable, and very pleasant.
The loft:
The camping cabins are older and consist of just a single room with 3–4 beds, a table, and chairs. They have no running water or additional amenities beyond a refrigerator and an electric hot plate. Shared toilets and showers are located nearby.
One of the perks of the property is that there is no minimum night stay restriction.
In conclusion, wonderfully successful cabin accommodation (I personally recommend the modernized, fully equipped ones) at a fair price, in a premier location with one of the most magnificent views in the world!
