Walking Tour
- The guide will take you to the city's main attractions and tourist landmarks, including many hidden corners and sites not everyone gets to see.
- The visit to the various sites, colleges, along the river, and through Cambridge's picturesque streets is accompanied by a wealth of stories, anecdotes, historical facts, and legends that bring the city, its history, and the colorful figures who lived here over the past two thousand years to life.
- The tour includes pickup from the Cambridge train station and entrance to several colleges* at no extra charge.
- The tour concludes in the city center, allowing you to return independently to the train station.
- Tours take place during weekends (Saturday and Sunday) in the morning hours.
- Weekday tours can be arranged by advance booking.
- Tour duration is approximately three hours (including a 15-minute break).
* It is difficult to commit in advance to which specific colleges we will enter, as some colleges are closed to the public during certain periods due to exams and other reasons. However, we will make every effort to include Trinity College – the most famous college in the city, where Isaac Newton studied – and visit its prominent tourist highlights.
During the tour, we will also pass by several other renowned colleges.
Punting Tour on the River
What is Punting?
One of the most magical and unique sightseeing experiences in Cambridge is a cruise on punting boats – small wooden boats that glide gently along the river.
The boats are propelled using a long pole that the punter pushes against the riverbed.
The tour passes between the impressive college buildings and beneath ancient bridges. The riverbanks are lined with weeping willow trees and endless lawns.
As you relax in the boat and take in the pastoral scenery, with ducks and swans gliding alongside, you will hear captivating commentary on the sights, history, and fascinating tales connected to the river and the buildings along its banks.
