A 90-minute tour in an amphibious vehicle (traveling on both land and water) from the World War II era. The tour departs from Union Station, passes along the monuments and museums on the "Mall," and then enters the Potomac River for a cruise. Children are given an opportunity to drive the vehicle during the cruise. This is the children's favorite tour. The tour takes place daily from mid-March to the end of October, except for July 4th (American Independence Day).
Tourmobile:
Blue-and-white buses with 25 stops from Capitol Hill to near Lincoln. Explanations of the important sites are heard during the trip. The Tourmobiles pass each station every 20 minutes. With one ticket, you can hop on and off at any of the stations as you wish, visit sites and museums, and continue. The Tourmobile travels several routes throughout the city and even reaches several famous tourist sites outside of Washington. This tour saves a lot of walking along the "Mall" and is ideal for families with young children. Its advantage is the great flexibility it provides. Tickets can be purchased from the Tourmobile drivers, at Union Station, at Arlington National Cemetery, at the kiosk near the Washington Monument, and at TicketMaster box offices.

This is a two-hour guided tour among the city's main attractions, from Capitol Hill to the Washington National Cathedral. The trolleys, built in a Victorian style, depart from major hotels in the city, and the tour includes Embassy Row, the city's business district, Georgetown, the "Mall" (see image below), museums, Union Station, the White House, Arlington National Cemetery, and famous neighborhoods. Here, too, you can hop on and off at any of the 18 stops along the way.
