Shopping in Orlando

♦ Routes (free): Detailed travel itineraries in USA

The USA is a celebration for shopping lovers. You can find a lot of information on the subject in my article Shopping in the United States. But within the USA, Orlando is one of the best destinations to do your shopping. Here are the reasons, the stores, the shopping centers, and their addresses.

However, you probably arrived in Orlando because of the many giant amusement parks there, so you should read a lot of information about them in my article: Amusement Parks in Orlando. I also recommend additional destinations and attractions for recreation in Orlando and its surroundings, which you can read about in the articles: Star Trips from Orlando and in: Charming Towns and Nature Trips North of Orlando.

The Advantages of Shopping in Orlando

♦ The city has a huge variety of stores and store chains.

♦ Store opening hours are very long. Some are open until 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM and some (for example, some Walmart branches and most supermarkets) are open 24 hours a day!

♦ The cost of living in Orlando is low: it is more worthwhile to "spend" time here on shopping because the cost of living in Orlando is among the cheapest in the USA. This means that lodging, food, car rental, and fuel are among the cheapest in the USA.

♦ Mobility: Here you can easily move with your car between shopping sites with your purchases in the trunk. This is something you couldn't do, for example, in New York, and there the purchases would also cost you more.

Factory Outlet Centers

In Orlando, there are many discounted factory outlet stores. Some are scattered along International Drive and Kissimmee and some are concentrated in large factory outlet centers with dozens or even hundreds of stores.

Department Stores and Retail Chains

In Orlando, there are many shopping centers and giant department stores. Most chains, such as Walmart and Target, have large branches in the city. There is no point in listing addresses for these stores as they are numerous. It is better to type the name of the chain into Waze or Google Maps and drive to the one closest to you. A list of all store chain names and what they sell can be found, as mentioned, in my article Shopping in the United States.

In Orlando, you will also find, for example, recommended surplus stores like Ross Dress For Less and others.

Shopping in Amusement Parks

The prices of products—clothes, toys, souvenirs, etc.—sold inside the amusement parks (Disneyworld, Universal, and the like) are expensive! Try to find some of these products at lower prices in large department stores like Walmart, Target, and others.

Shopping at Disney Springs

I recommend spending a few hours at Disney's special and modern complex called Disney Springs, which is an entertainment, dining, and shopping complex located within the Disneyworld complex, and entry is free.

In this place, there are over 100 beautiful and designed stores that are fun to wander through. They have a large selection of toys, clothes, jewelry, gifts, costumes, souvenirs, and everything else.
