There are over 650 Factory Outlets across the USA. Some are small with a few dozen stores, while others are massive in scale with hundreds of stores. Most are located in city suburbs or near popular vacation areas. There are two main factory outlet mall networks in the USA with wide coverage across the country.

In stores called Factory Outlet, the entire store contains products from only that specific manufacturer. In contrast, an Outlet Store contains products from several manufacturers.

The two largest networks:

CHELSEA PREMIUM OUTLETS has dozens of large and impressive centers, including in Orlando and in towns near Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.

 

 

TANGER OUTLETS – A large and recommended network with most of its branches located in the Eastern USA.

In each such center, there are many factory stores selling merchandise from well-known and prestigious brands such as: Sony, Georgiou, Levi’s, Mikasa, Nike, Gap, Ralph Lauren, London Fog, and the list goes on. Prices are usually about 20-30% cheaper than the official retail prices.

Before you start your shopping spree, it is worth going to the main office or the visitor center of the mall and asking if you can get a membership card that provides discounts or if there are discounts for AAA members. In most centers, you will receive a booklet with information on discounts for members (membership is free) and for AAA members. The discounts are very significant and reach up to 20%. Remember that there are discounts on top of discounts and double deals, so you can often purchase high-quality products at deep discounts.
