Where to fly and when to book flights for the popular times of the year?

♦ Routes (free): Detailed travel itineraries in USA

Every year there are certain popular and preferred dates for trips. These dates are, of course, during the holidays and the school summer vacation. There is, of course, a huge selection of destinations to which it is possible and worthwhile to fly all over the world, so where should you fly and, no less importantly, when should you book flights?

Travel during the Easter/Passover holiday:

Those who wish to take advantage of the children's entire spring break, and perhaps even "steal" an extra day or two before or after it, can go on a trip of two and a half to three weeks. For such a period of time, it is ideal to travel to the USA, where both the East Coast and the West Coast are viable options.

Destinations in the Eastern U.S.:

Orlando is much more attractive in the spring than in the humid summer. Summer-like weather, sunny, all attractions are active, including water parks; it can be combined with a nature trip in the Everglades National Park and the amazing scenic route to Key West or with a Caribbean Cruise, which is a wonderful season for it.

In the Northeast it is still chilly, but the weather is starting to warm up, the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. are in full bloom, the "Maid of the Mist" at Niagara Falls is already sailing vigorously to the rushing falls, and New York is always recommended to visit.

Nature in New England and upstate New York is better saved for the summer or autumn months.

Destinations in the Western U.S.:

A trip in California from San Francisco south to San Diego is wonderful in the spring. In the nature parks Yosemite and Sequoia & Kings it might still be cold in the high places and some roads may still be closed, but it is definitely possible to travel in them during this period and see the best.

Las Vegas is most recommended in the spring; the heat is not yet scorching like in the summer, and it also serves as a recommended starting point for the nature parks of Arizona and Utah, which are best to visit in April.

Exotic Hawaii is also suitable for spring, as it is for all months of the year, and integrates perfectly with the Western U.S.

Yellowstone, Northern California (from San Francisco to the Oregon border), Oregon, and Washington state should be saved for the summer months. Western Canada will also have to wait.

It is certainly possible to carry out a combined trip of West and East, where you choose the destinations most recommended in your eyes from each side.

Costa Rica:

Costa Rica is a recommended exotic destination suitable for lovers of green, ecological nature, animals, volcanoes, beaches, and adrenaline. In April, you can travel to all parts of the country, and except for the fact that you shouldn't expect to see turtles in Tortuguero (only from June to September) - it is a perfect trip. If your time is short, you can see the best in 11-12 days, but of course, every additional day holds more surprises. Costa Rica integrates wonderfully with Florida, New York, or even a Caribbean cruise.

Thailand and Singapore:

While the most recommended period to travel in Thailand and Singapore is in the winter, meaning until March, April is considered the "hot" season, but importantly, it is still a dry season. There is no need to fear typhoons, floods, and storms. You can travel everywhere; if gushing waterfalls are not why you are flying to Thailand, you can really enjoy it in April: from sunny beaches, great shopping, culture, action, massages, and wonderful food. Cool Singapore integrates perfectly with Thailand and adds top-level entertainment, high-quality shopping, and a culture to learn from.

Europe:

The warmest and most recommended destination for a trip for those with more than a week is the Canary Islands, which have perfect weather all year round. A combination of diverse nature: from volcanoes to rainforests and sand dunes, active recreation, amusements, wonderful beaches, ancient towns, and vibrant cities. The flights are not direct but allow combining a trip to the Canaries with a few days in Madrid or Barcelona. The cost of living in the islands (including accommodation, car rental, and food) is cheaper than in most European countries, the residents are welcoming and friendly, and there is also plenty of entertainment and atmosphere.

Of course, a vacation in various capital cities across Europe, such as London or Paris, is always suitable, because in large cities even if it is cold or rainy, there is always something to see and do.

When to book flights?

Almost always it is worth booking flights as far in advance as possible, even 10 months in advance! This way you will get the lowest rates for flights. The longer you wait, the more expensive flight prices will get.

Anyone who discovers that the holidays work out perfectly and suit them for a vacation only months or a few weeks before the trip date will sometimes have to stay at home or pay exorbitant prices, sometimes double or triple what someone wise paid by booking half a year or even ten months in advance.

In short: if you haven't chosen a destination and booked flights - hurry up and do it!

Booking flights as soon as possible can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a family! Gone are the times of booking at the last minute. This might be effective for off-peak seasons like winter months, when there are no holidays and school vacations, but on holidays and in the summer - there are no last-minute deals and clearly, those who book early win big!

Insurance - don't forget!

The trip is expensive and you pay for a large part of it in advance before departure, so don't forget to get travel insurance as early as possible before the trip so that if you have to cancel the trip you will have insurance coverage for the cancellation!

You can also search for and book flights yourself on the internet. Here are several recommended sites:
