Wisconsin Dells is a perfect destination for action-loving families. It is considered the "Water Park Capital" of the United States. This small resort town features many water parks, including the largest water park in the United States: "Noah's Ark," and the largest combined indoor and outdoor water park in the world: The Wilderness Resort.

In addition to the many massive water parks, the town offers a wide array of active nature tourism and vacation options. It is home to the largest number of World War II amphibious vehicles turned into a tourist attraction called "Ducks," which travel and float both on land and in the river and Lake Delton. The surrounding area has more than 80 km of hiking and horseback riding trails. The area also features ancient steam train tours, speedboats, and the town is well known for its many golf courses. The town has the long-standing and recommended Wisconsin Deer Park with forest trails, a crane-filled nature reserve called the International Crane Foundation, and for action lovers, a long zipline in the heart of impressive nature: Bigfoot Zipline. Additionally, there are escape rooms, cool museums like Ripley's Believe It or Not, and many performances are held every evening, especially music or magic shows, as well as dinner shows.


Food:
The town has a huge variety of family restaurants and branches of many restaurant chains. Don't miss a meal at a cool family restaurant: Buffalo Phil’s, where a small Lego train brings food and drinks to the table. Every so often, it makes a round and blows soap bubbles. The restaurant is massive and features a small city built of Lego. An indoor amusement and challenge park is attached to it.

Worth the Drive:
"The House on the Rock" in Wisconsin, about a 45-minute drive from Madison, the state capital, and 50 minutes from Wisconsin Dells, is a unique house partially hanging over the edge of a rock.


It is built as a maze with endless collections of music boxes, statues, dolls, carriages, antique typewriters, and more. It features the world's largest carousel with 289 different characters and 20,000 lights. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens, including Japanese gardens and gardens with statues and fountains featuring giant vases with dragon and lizard sculptures.

A unique and impressive place that deserves at least 3 hours of your time.
Geography and Location:
The town of Wisconsin Dells spans an area of about 50 sq km and is home to only about 6,500 residents. It is located about an hour's drive (90 km) northwest of Wisconsin's capital, Madison, and a bit less than a 3-hour drive (310 km) northwest of Chicago, which has direct flights from Israel. A river passes through the town between impressive cliffs and ravines. The striking nature of these cliffs has been attracting tourists for more than 160 years.
A visit to Wisconsin Dells integrates perfectly with a visit to other destinations in Wisconsin:
