Family Attractions in The Hague

The Hague is the third-largest city in the Netherlands. It has plenty to do and see in any group configuration, yet surprisingly many travelers skip it or visit for just a few hours.
It serves as the seat of government and the King/Queen of the Netherlands, as well as important international institutions such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

Shopping in Amsterdam

Just like in other European destinations, in Amsterdam you will find shopping streets, malls, and open-air markets. During the winter and summer sale seasons, various stores offer discounts of 50% and more, making these the most worthwhile periods for shopping.
Central Dam Square serves as the starting point for main shopping thoroughfares, such as Nieuwendijk Street and Kalverstraat Street. On these streets you will find well-known brand retail stores alongside local shops, fashion, footwear, music, books, accessories, homeware, and of course—Amsterdam's famous coffeeshops.

Farm Stays North of Amsterdam

Holiday parks are popular and convenient options for family lodging in the Netherlands. Their main drawback is requiring guests to check in and check out on specific set days (usually Mondays and Fridays) and imposing minimum stay requirements of at least 3 nights (in summer, mostly 7 nights). For those looking for lodging solutions for a single night or even 2-3 nights, I warmly recommend staying in a farm B&B.
