A. Join the frequent flyer programs of all the airlines you fly with. In most companies, joining is free, and in many cases, there is doubling of points and various bonuses. In addition, some hotel chains and car rental companies have agreements with airlines, so you can earn more points without additional flights. Airline companies will gladly provide you with all the required information. In most cases, it is enough to fly a transatlantic flight and a small number of domestic flights in the US to receive a free domestic flight. B. Volunteer to give up your seat on a flight and fly later. On many flights, airline companies book more passengers than the number of seats on the plane, meaning over 100% occupancy. They do this knowing that some passengers will not show up for the flight for various reasons. But sometimes all passengers (or at least the vast majority) show up, so some of the people arriving at the airport and booked for the flight will not be able to fly. The airline asks for volunteers to delay their flight. If you are not pressed for time or in a rush to get somewhere, this is your opportunity to receive free airline tickets (usually valid for two years). You can help your luck a bit and plan this volunteering: book seats for busy flights: Fridays and Sunday evenings and Monday mornings, when most business people fly, and before and after major holidays. Arrive early at the airport, and as soon as the airline counter designated for your flight opens, ask if the flight is full and if they need volunteers. If so, they will write down your name at the top of the volunteer list and call your name just minutes before takeoff. Remember that your luggage will fly without you and wait for you at the airport of your final destination in the airline's baggage claim area. This method works well, it's proven! My family members and I each received two free round-trip flight tickets between any two destinations we chose within the US, including Mexico and Canada, plus free meals and hotel, just because we volunteered twice to fly the next day.
