Redcliffe Tour
The town of Redcliffe is a resort town located north of Brisbane, right on the coast, about a half-hour drive away. It is part of Moreton Bay and serves as a starting point for trips to Moreton Island (a sand island suitable for a one- or two-day trip).

Redcliffe excels in its cleanliness and its well-maintained streets and promenade. Over a million tourists visit this resort town every year. This site was also the first European settlement location in the state of Queensland in 1824.
Access to the place is via a long bridge over the water, adjacent to which is the old bridge that led to the town and now serves only pedestrians, cyclists, and fishermen.
At the entrance to the town, there is a picnic area along the water with a boat launch point and a small pier populated by many birds, mostly pelicans.
Along the eastern coast of the town, there are good swimming beaches, a promenade, and restaurants, as well as a large free public pool adjacent to the beach, similar to the pool at South Bank in Brisbane.

In the center of the beach, there is a large and beautiful pier that serves as a promenade and a good fishing spot. Facilities are installed on the pier for the fishermen's convenience: a sink and a fish cleaning station. We saw this on other piers in the area as well. The Australians deserve praise when it comes to service for vacationers—they install free electric grills, or charcoal grills next to a ready pile of free firewood. At every resort site, there is water, adjacent restrooms, playgrounds for children, plenty of grass and benches, and as mentioned, the piers are equipped with facilities to serve fishermen. You don't see equipment vandalized.
On the northern side of the town, there is a fishing port with many fishing boats, and near the fishing docks, there are fish restaurants (of course).
It is recommended to eat at one of these restaurants, where you buy fresh seafood, receive it in a box, and sit near the dock at one of the many tables available there.
Across the sea, near the fishing port, you can see in the background a view of the beautiful mountains called the Glass House Mountains.
